How the Russian contempt for Elon Musk triggered the founding of SpaceX
You can talk to someone who has had a breakthrough and tell you about the difficult path they have taken, but there is still one lesson to be learned.
Many see Elon Musk as a rich, respected man who continues
to change the history of the universe. What you need to know is that in the
last few years there has been a Russian who has disrespected him, insulted him,
and condemned him, which has angered him that made him start SpaceX.
Lori Garver, former Deputy Director of NASA, has come to
the forefront of Elon Musk's idea of launching
SpaceX.
In a report titled "Garver's memoir" of the
former NASA man, he says that Elon Musk has decided to have his own space
research center after being widely criticized by Russians.
The SpaceX executive had an idea in 2001 when he was on a
flight home after a Russian engineer insulted him and cut him off, prompting
him to start his own company to compete with the Russians in space.
Lori Garver, who served under NASA's Barack Obama
administration, says she has done her best to make space travel more accessible
to a larger number of people and more easily without the need for much expense
but claims to have been caught off guard by NASA.
Garver and Musk met in 2002 where they said they
discussed the possibility of NASA relying heavily on Russia, looking for ways
to form an independent agency, as in May it was reiterated by the co-founder of
SpaceX, Jim Cantrell.
Cantrell said Musk was mistreated when he traveled to
Moscow to talk to Russians about buying them a satellite that was supposed to
carry mice or plants on Mars.
According to Cantrell, it was at this point that Russia
became so enraged that he immediately spit on his shoes because the Russians
wanted to have a little talk on the glass, while Musk wanted to talk about
important things and has a direction.
"We were treated like useless people," said
Cantrell, "because the engineer thought we were dirty.
Less than a year later, Musk immediately launched his
technology and space center, which is now one of the world's largest private space
centers.
Musk's history of setting up the center is indelible by his constant tweeting that the rift between him and the Russian Roscosmos Center, led by Dmitry Rogozin, has not gone unnoticed so that next year he plans to send a spacecraft that will be the world's largest and the first strong will be sent into space.
